Brief History of Organization

Quality Living of Tennessee. (QLI) is an Agency licensed by the State of Tennessee to provide services for people with special needs. Quality Living of Tennessee. is funded by Tennessee Department of Mental Retardation services.
Quality Living of Tennessee. is a Not-For-Profit Corporation committed with Mission to provide Quality Care, appropriate services and supports to Individuals with special needs, to enable them live valued and productive lives in the community. Quality Living . also assists individuals with disabilities to become full participants in community life by means of advocacy, community education, education empowerment and to promote the growth and development of community acceptance.

Quality Living was established on  Aug 1st 2000 and was orporated in the office of the Secretary of State in Tennessee in Oct 2nd 2000.
Quality Living of Tennessee. is governed by the Board of Directors who exercises general direction over the facilities and establishes policies governing the operation of the facilities and welfare of the individuals served.  The Board of Directors ensures that the agency complies with all applicable federal, state and local laws, ordinances, rules and regulations.  The office of the Administrator/CEO will receive and be responsible for the implementation of policy and directions from the Board of Directors, and will delegate responsibilities for the overall management operation and provision of services. 

Quality Living of Tennessee. opened its door on March 15, 2002 supporting only 2 Individuals (clients), with 5 Direct Care Professionals and 1 Administrative Staff, to provide services for these Individuals.  Later in the year through 2003, another staff joined the administration.
In 2004 QLI gradually grew both in administrative and Direct Care Professionals.  By the end of 2005, QLI had 10 individuals luding respite (clients) and approximately 50 Direct Care Professionals. 

In the year 2006 QLI had admissions of 5 more individuals to provide services for; totaling 13 Individuals and that of course reased the number of the Direct Care Professionals to 69. 

This year 2007 QLI is currently supporting 16 individuals with the total of 9 Administrative staff luding a Registered Nurse and 104 Direct Care Professionals.

As a recognized leader in its endeavor, Quality Living of Tennessee. has been instrumental in the encouragement, education empowerment and academic
Achievements of its employees and most of the Individuals supported respectively, in the level of their capacities.  Quality Living of Tennessee. develops exemplary employees who achieve excellence and fulfillment in the performance of their duties and are dedicated in respecting the rights of others.
